Hello. My name is Mike and I am in the preliminary stages of building my Snowy costume. I am not, but look forward to being, a member of the GLG (and the The Blizzard Force!). I decided to take the "polar plunge" after meeting so many great people from GLG at The Maker Faire at Henry Ford Museum just last month. I rode along (for some extra muscle) with Kurt Zimmerman and his droids to the event. The smiles I saw on the childrens' faces (and some of the stories I've read since then) were what clinched it for me.

Welcome Mike! We actually used to live in Swartz Creek, then Grand Blanc.
Maybe I saw you at the maker faire. I was a Ghostbuster set up with the GLG.

Welcome Mike. I am actually from Burton recently moved to Howell. I know the GLG guys will chime in quickly. They have some good lists to help you get trooping. Look at some of the other WIP for the GLG guys, they are immensely helpful.
Also Kurt is a great dude, just to put that out there.

Hey Welcome Mike!
You've picked the coolest detachment in the 501st to be in. Snowtroopers are a great costume and the Great Lakes Garrison have a large amount of them, they look great trooping together.
